The Curiosity Foundation is an independent non-profit linked to VC firm Curiosity VC. We exist to make entrepreneurship more accessible for groups historically underrepresented in tech and venture.
Stimulate entrepreneurship among underrepresented groups in the core regions where Curiosity is active: the Netherlands, Belgium, the Nordics and the Baltics.
10% of the carried interest profit of all Curiosity-managed funds is pledged to the Foundation by the Curiosity VC partners. The Foundation also solicits donations to expand its reach and impact.
Support is currently mostly in-kind: sponsoring and memberships, office facilities, mentoring, and advisory work for selected partner organisations. In the future, support will also be financial — through grants and investments — as profits from the funds managed by Curiosity VC flow into the Foundation.
An independent board oversees partner selection, financial stewardship and reporting. Decisions are made by majority vote.
